WHOA NELLIE! tm has a simple, uncomplicated mission statement....to deliver equestrian riding apparel that is functional, comfortable, stylish and trendsetting.
Designed by equestrians, for equestrians, our dressage line is just the beginning of what we hope to bring to the riding public.
Our History: (Actually, we're newborns.)
Our riding breeches and jackets were developed because we felt there was a gap in the market. Low priced apparel seems synonomous with low quality and poor fit, at least from our experience. High quality had the high price tag, too. Our goal was to make high quality riding apparel at a reasonable price. Easier said than done, especially when manufacturing here in the USA, yet manufacturing oversees can be a nightmare when it comes to quality control. We decided to take the harder road in order to reap the high quality and consistency in our products. We've contracted a textile manufacturer to supply us with a specific french terry/lycra fabric for our breeches and jackets, and, in our opinion, no other fabric will do. Our fabric is very sturdy, yet soft, and can be laundered in warm water and dried on a low setting, unlike other breeches that must be washed in cold water and can't even stand up to sunlight without significant shrinkage!
We look forward to developing fashion forward lines for the hunter/jumper and menswear market, too. The WHOA NELLIE! trademark is your assurance of quality.
